AgentX20 Just following up on my own post here where Win 10 seemingly went bad on me recently.
I don't seem to be experiencing the same strain at the desktop as I was for a while there, which is a major major relief.
I can't see it being the new prescription... but I don't really know what else has changed. Maybe that was it, or it was a combination of factors. Or maybe something got patched, or was reset. Who knows?!?
I did change some Windows behaviour to stop Windows from passing display buffers through the new compositor layer for game recording. It's supposed to help with frame rates, but I figured anything that reduces the involvement of the compositor could be a good thing.
I've yet to re-test a few other troublesome titles - such as new Chrome/Firefox versions or Prepar3D flight sim, which are my go-to bad software that cause problems independent of the rest of the system being OK.
