Here's another VA monitor I just found:

"The Asus VA249HE brings the benefits of a high-quality VA panel to the budget market and compete with TN and IPS variants. This new and practical entry-level monitor is proof of Vertical Alignment’s rise in the industry, unlike before when it was regarded as prone to interlacing while the decent modules are exclusive only to premium models."
Like any typical VA panel, it boasts 3X as much static contrast as a standard TN or IPS screen.
This is in the Eye Care series.

Besides higher contrast, what is it about VA panels that generally makes them more comfortable for those prone to eye strain?
Compliance.and.Standards

It's 6 bit + FRC, which seems to be 100% of lower priced current generation monitors.
Only 60 Hz. Does that really make a difference?
