JTL I'm not running it right now you might find screenshots of the Cinnamon display control on the internet.
I personally wouldn't want to perform music on stage or speak at a conference with Windows running inside Linux - I just can't see how it would be stable enough for real-world, high-end application from my past experience of running virtual environments.
I mean, the most stable environments on the world are virtualized, it's the entire point behind cloud computing, but if you aren't comfortable with it, then to each his own. Again, whatever works for you, thats what you should do.
The average office worker has zero flexibility on the OS used. It's 99% Windows in the business world, with exception to IT/creative companies and smaller startups. Also offices will be running the latest W10 and drivers (otherwise the IT administrators aren't doing their job). This is why we still need to look into a solution. I can continue to use old tech in my home for years and I've pretty much resigned to that if that's what it takes. To keep a wage coming in I will have to continue to use this 'bad' tech, which is the real issue.
Very true. I am lucky that my workplace offers a Citrix environment you can connect to, so I can set up a linux PC at home and then Citrix into Windows 10 and maintain my visual controls. I demo'd that last year and it worked, and when they move us of Windows 7 that will be my daily solution.
