Why we don't have an accessibility settings for those with eye strain to disable all these dithering / billions of colours options ?

Imagine an option in OS ( win/ios/ android etc ) to disable all this nonsense HDR, Adaptive Colours, Dithering and etc … so we can have a normal life !!!

Maybe we need a more accurate approach to explain our issues so we can push a decent petition ???

Best way is to send an email to apple. The more people send them complaint, the better. At some point they will not be able to ignore this problem anymore.

mirza Sending an email to one company doesn't seem effective. I mean, all companies ( Microsoft, Nvidia, AMD, Apple, tv's and monitor's companies use this technologies wich are harmful for us. I think we need a proper description of our problem and write a decent petition….

The difficulty of measuring all the potential issues that could cause strain doesn't help towards articulating the issues for a hypothetical investigation.

I don't have a problem with windows PC connected to benq monitor. When I plug it to MacBook Air (the monitor), or the MacBook display itself, I have problems. So, in my case, it's Apple's fault.

iOS17 now has an option to desaturate colours. Enable grayscale mode and the new intensity slider appears. Slide back towards the left to get a more desaturated colour look. This might help some

m1ngw I tried the greyscale but I was also on antibiotics at the time so I was extra dizzy from screen, and I was wondering if it's true that in your experience greyscale is totally helpful for reducing eye strain and dizziness. Sometimes it's nice to try something knowing someone has a positive experience because the feedback and knowledge itself also helps reinforce its benefits 🙂) thanks

wlmsn I'm trying this on 13 mini. Quick test - seems to be better but need to switch my banking apps over so I can use the phone permanently for a few days.

I am working at a startup in San Francisco that builds eye strain free computer tablet. (I also have severe computer vision syndrome) Perhaps the tablet could be part of the solutions and improvement. 🙂

We are interested in having 10-20 enthusiastic users to receive our tablets for 2 weeks or longer, and share their experiences with us. It will also help us understand what type of eye conditions does the tablet help with the most, and helped us discover our super fans and any software bugs! It is free to be a tester.

I would love for us to gather the power of our community to make a petition. There are a lot of us and I hope it is something that more and more and more people can add to the petition overtime. What would be the first step to make this happen? Would it be a website?
