But this is really a crazy situation. Based on different sites and forums, there are quite a large number of people who can't use PWM displays and at the moment, I do not know if there is one single new smartphone with a display that does not have PWM or other forms of flicker. When my Sony XZ Premium dies finally in couple of years, then it is no smartphone for me. How can this be that our problem gains no momentum? One thing I suspect is that so many different problems are mixed into one. Some have motion sickness, some have blue light sensitivity (would looking at a blue sky cause problems then, too?) some have another issue, which might then cause manufacturer to group the problems into one "The people who have issues" kind of like grouping us to something like people with psychological problems. Then they cannot make a solution that would fix all of that. But maybe if the people who have just PWM sensitivity, would step out and we would contact manufacturers with the help of sites like Notebookcheck to explain that in our case it really is just the PWM and when that is removed, we can use a display without any problems.
Not to discredit the others who have different problems, but what I've seen, there are people who can't look at the grey areas of a screen, people who can tolerate blue light, people with motion sickness, people who get no problems from PWM but to whom some other aspect irritates, people who do not like a triluminos screen etc. etc. so it will be impossible to accommodate for all of the problems, since e.g. the Xperia has a triluminos screen but I have been perfectly fine with it for 2.5 years. Also people with blue light sensitivity - the sky is blue and there is blue light in TV's and everywhere, so we cannot remove the blue sky. If blue is a problem then that should be resolved by putting an orange tint screen or wearing blue blockers. I would be totally fine if I would just have a problem with blue light - I wear anyways blue blockers during the evenings when I mostly use the phone, so it would not be a problem for me to if I could resolve the problem by wearing blue blockers. What I*m trying to say, is that the PWM = red eyes is such a concrete thing that it should be able to prove and gain momentum.
