No doubt, Honor are definitely using this for marketing purposes to promote their products/tech.
Nevertheless, it's definitely a positive sign - as it's increasing awareness. Other manufacturers will hopefully follow suit (Samsung, Google, Apple) and attempt to invest more into research, which will lead to more competition and (hopefully) better solutions. Fingers crossed!
Yes you're definitely right, blue light is only one aspect (and so far, has the most published scientific research concerning the detrimental effects). This is slowly being addressed.
Hopefully next up will be research into the impact of higher refresh rates, temporal dithering, and the software used for rendering/response times etc, as these are contributing factors too.
