I have an M1 with glowing text as well. True tone and accesibility color tints wrecks havoc on my eyes. Same on iPhone. Not that the screen is great without it either. But turning that on is the absolute best way to get problems fast.
- Check all accessibility options in the control panel that they are the same. Especially the window tinting from wallpaper.
- Check the color profile and resolution.
- Check if anything forces a fixed refresh on one of them. My eyes hate ProMotion variable refresh rate, so I usually run something that forces it to stay at 120hz. Menubar apps can in certain cases force it. You can also find Quartz Debug that in Additional Tools for Xcode 15.3 beta at https://developer.apple.com/download/all/ to see the live hz
- Check that both are using either high or low power, or at least the same. I have best experience with low power mode. It's under the battery settings.
- Did any of them get washed harder affecting the screen treatment?
