How to buy an 8bit panel monitor?

I wanted to share an update on the Dell S2722DC that was supposed to be true 8-bit as per Dell support and other sources.

Very uncomfortable overall. Didn’t notice an improvement on my M2 Pro or my 2015 Intel MBP, though the latter was sharper without any modifications.

Still worth trying as I suspect the 27” size is way too large of a light source for me (even with brightness all the way down). I tried different settings and color profiles and nothing helped. Disappointed as it’s quite the budget model and readily available. Could be the WLED or it could be 6-bit+FRC. Or just Apple weirdness. I don’t have a PC to try with it.

Hello , sadly after last day I developed migraine on temples using Asus TUF VG27A3QA
I switched to all profiles, but it seems no more comfortable as before. Probably there are some triggers accumulated.
Luckily I found an Omen 27q (LG) that will arrive next week.

There's no guarantee that you won't develop a migraine with this one as well.
I caught my own monitor (Gigabyte M32q) playing tricks on me. One day it works well and all is great, then for the night Windows plays the screen saver, then turns it off and when I wake up the next day and start using it - it's a completely different monitor that hurts my eyes and brain like crazy…

I don't know anymore, maybe we can attribute this to Windows… IDK really

Oshim I Say that migraine is off in this monitor, I tested with 2 GPUs (1660s and RT6750XT).
No Migraine. With the BOE instant pain.
My only issue is a stomach burping.

Oh the panels are LG or BOE, how do I check what I get? No way for seller to check?

📌2nd day with Asus TUF VG27AQ and 6750XT.

Asus TUF VG27AQ Is a 27" 2k 165hz true 8 bit without Frc.

I feel a little migraine on temples and softer nausea than 27q.
Eyes are a little tired.
So, this monitor could be better with another GPU as 1660s.
I think that 6750xt Is usable with 27q only.
I'll try my other monitors, searching for the best combo, but until now Omen 27q (LG) is way better and gentler on my eyes.
Probably the LG panel is not so aggressive as Auo Optronics panel.

Hello guys, yesterday I used again the LG 27q after a short period with Asus TUF VG27AQ (bad experience), and I confirm that 27q is the best modern IPS monitor in combo with AMD 6750xt.
No migraine.
No eyes fatigue.
No other bad symptoms.
