I have an HP Envy Windows 10 laptop provided by work. If I use it with the laptop screen, I get symptomatic (ex. Dizzy, headache, motion sick, etc.)…. However, when I connect to my Dell Docking station that is connected to a basic 60hz monitor… no issues. It’s worth noting that my docking station provides video and shows as the display adapter.

If I try to use my Windows 11 personal laptop (Latitude 3520 with Intel Iris Graphics), I am symptomatic as a laptop and when plugged into the docking station.

Any ideas what is happening here???

Dizzy which model dock? I wonder if it doesn't allow dithering to process through it 🤔

Dizzy what windows versions? Also are you connecting your monitor over type c /HDMI/dp? What gpu?

jordan For the laptop that works without strain (only when connected to the dock) its Windows 10 22H2 and the laptop that causes strain is Windows 11 23H2. I am trying both docking station with an HDMI and straight HDMI out with dithereg.exe (this seems most comfortable)

ryans just checked it. It was off. I turned it on for a test and it hurt so I turned it back off. I also played with the refresh rate. At 75hz the screen seems “brighter/more vibrant” but 60hz seems easier. Could a higher refresh rate impact a nervous system with slow processing of signals?
