madmozg I appreciate you going into so much detail about this and it gives me a lot of hope. I'm probably going to go try an M4 16" Macbook Pro in the next few days, but I was a bit curious of your history with Macs specifically. I've been able to comfortably use a Macbook Pro "Mid 2014" model for years stopping at Catalina 10.15.7 but what's weird is when I've tried out Linux or Windows 10 on the same laptop, I get that uncomfortable feeling that one can get that it's tough to explain. Just an off feeling, etc. I've tried every Macbook air/pro from M1 - M3 without any luck, including Mac Mini, as well as about 10 other Windows 11 based Intel/Nvidia based laptops (some with Windows 10). I currently have a usable Windows 10 desktop computer but I feel like my time is running out on that haha. I've even tried a Macbook Pro from the 2019 lineup with the same issues like the screen felt like it's moving. StillColor and all those apps didn't help.
I say all of this because, did you have a similar experience for years? For a long time I wondered if it was something the software in the OS was doing or if it's the screen itself or a combination of the two. Even using external monitors that are comfortable on my Windows 10 machine are still uncomfortable on any laptop. So anyway, I appreciate you writing up that post. I'm going to hopefully try one out int he next week but it seems like I should push through that potential "pain" to see if I have an adjustment period, do you think?
