Hi all, I'm new here. I have read several threads and meet some people with similar problems I have.
I see there are more than one possible reason our eyestrain and our other symptoms. PWM, dithering, ..or LED technology itself.
My case: I had no problem with my many LED-backlit displays/devices/lamps until I bought a new laptop maybe two years ago. Afterwards, I meet and tried a lot of devices of all kinds (laptops, phones, cameras, underwater lights etc) I can not stand. I figured out that "break-even point" was somewhen about 2014-15, when manufacturers probably started to use some new generation of white LED or something else, which made their displays (lights etc) unusable for me. Brand (Apple, Samsung, HP, ..) or display technology (TN, IPS, OLED), nothing does matter, just a year of production.
I'm absolutely sure that the devil is in the LED backlit, at least for me.
I wonder if there is anyone who knows anything about LED technology changes in several last years? Or better, someone who can perform some measuring?
