I got the LG24GL600F-B an hour ago. For now it seems quite comfortable but at the same time i feel a bit weird perhaps due to the size? Never had monitor more than 21 inches.
So the settings are: gamer 1 mode, response time to normal, black stabilizer to zero and refresh rate to 120hz which is the maximum in my laptop. I have hooked up the display to my work laptop Dell Inspiron 15. Any other settings? For example at what brightness level? I have it at 30% and it seems too bright.
Peter My suggestion would be to play with the black stabilizer as mine is set to 65. Each person probably is different with this. It's possible you could generate a different result having it hooked up to a laptop vs a tower. I believe when you hook up to a laptop you usually get signal degradation. If you are fine though that's good news! You can control the gamma which will reduce the back light. I have my brightness to zero I'm pretty sure. I lowered the gamma forget which way lowers the brightness but you can tell when you are adjusting it. If you still think it's too bright but hopefully not you can use the windows 10 night mode thing. I don't use that though as I'm pretty fine with it the way it's set. I wish you luck.
jasonpicard Thanks for the tips. For some reason i find instant relief when the black stabilizer is set to zero. I have also enabled the night mode in windows and the brightness is now fine. Will test for a few days to see how to it goes.
The IT director in the company i work became interested in my issue. He told me he is also sensitive and that he uses only gaming laptops with high refresh rate. Actually his laptop is a 17'' Alienware with 120hz rate and he is working directly to it without attaching it to a monitor. He also told me that probably i will need to attach the monitor to a arrangement like a gaming desktop otherwise i may continue to have problems, at least he does. Do you think this is valid?
Peter I totally agree with that. You probably need to connect to a tower. Samsung used to have some option on their monitors to try and clean up the issues of connecting an external monitor to a laptop.

jasonpicard Another 4 hours of work today with the LG24GL600F-B and i cannot work with it anymore, my headache is too strong. I switched back to my trusted CCFL 19" LG and i felt immediate comfort.
Both displays are hooked up to a a bad laptop. The one i can work for hours and days, the new one with one and a half day of use and my head is like i have been hit by a hammer.
Looking forward to test another monitor.

I don't think anymore that is the monitor our issue. My fine monitor turned to bad immediately when I've attached it to the new MBP 16" and also with the last version of W10 1909 on my regular desktop PC.
So I'm pretty sure, that is a combination of monitors and software, but the main cause is more a software problem than hardware. At least for me 
Lauda89 I feel bad for everyone one here that has these issues concerning software changes. It's such a challenge to an already impossible condition. I think for me speed is the name of the game. I need to be above a certain response time and I'm fine no matter the software. I run these monitors on Ubuntu and Windows 10. I just hooked a Raspberry Pii up to one as well. It's kind of cool .
jasonpicard Well, I have an Alienware 240 Hz TN 1ms response time. So it's really fast but with macOS I had some problems (but I couldn't run it at 240hz, just 120hz) and also with W10 1909. Anyway i would try the new Asus 360 Hz this year and now I am wearing eyeglasses because I need to correct low astigmatism (0.5) so maybe it will help.. let's see!
