I just had about 30mins on the t460 with the 15' screen from my 'good' laptop and it wasnt perfect, I could feel that it was giving me a slight headache, but it was usable and bright enough.
I swapped back to the new 14' screen and the pain was pretty much immediate. The panel is darker even on full brightness, dont know if that makes a difference.
the 15' screen is PWM free, I did read the one I got for the T460 has pwm at 25000hz though but I cant test that
There is a difference in these screens, when I run the 14 on the good laptop I couldnt quite tell, I had a bit of a headache when I tried before and I have a headache now so I guess I'll give it a few days and try again.
My good laptop is on W10 1809 and the T460 is on 1909 though.
I tried to find 1809 but I cant get the MS site to offer it as a download, only 1909 seems to be available.
Also, I had a migraine the other day and couldnt think why, had a good streak of more than a week free of pain but when using my ipad I noticed I had disabled 'reduce white point' (becuase I was trying to 'trick' myself the other week week when I last used it) so it could've been that or could've just been that I noticed it and now i'm associating it with the migraine.
One things for sure, the t460 has given me a proper headache now. Not so much eyestrain, its more of a burning deep pain the middle of my head, sort of feels like theres a band around my head as well squeezing my skull and I feel dizzy but I'm not dizzy, if that makes sense, strange sensation going on - its probably a migraine without the visual distortions, I'd hate for my doctor to be right as he said my symptoms are just migraines and these things are my triggers.
