This may be crazy, but I was wondering whether anyone on this forum has had laser eye surgery and whether that had any impact on the challenges we all share with displays. And then I wondered whether those of us who suffer from these issues share any similar eye health issues. For example, are we all short sigh or long sighted? Do we all have astigmatism? Or are any of us 20/20 in terms of vision, but still suffering from display issues? Not sure if this is a topic that’s already been disconnected the forum, but I couldn’t see it.

I’m short-sighted, and I think I have astigmatism. I’d be interested to know what others are in case there is any commonality or pattern.

    Hi!
Absolutely no pattern in the eyesight. All kinds of parameters.
Some people had laser surgery, which may or may not be a factor here.

I was short-sighted. Did a LASIK back in late 2002. Seven weeks between LASIK eye 1 and LASIK eye 2.

I believe that maybe the operation (or waiting between the eyes) could be the cause of my problems. I would like to rule that out, but how?

I did my LASIK 8 years ago and I think it may be the reason of my hell. LASIK and similar surgeries fix your vision, but don't change muscles. If you have exophoria and you wear minus power lenses they help your eyes to move inward and keep them well aligned. After LASIK if you don't wear glasses there is no more external help for your eyes and your muscles may not be strong because they were helped out by minus lenses before. At least this is the explanation I get from many optometrists. It's weird all this happened to me after 8 years when I bought a new laptop, not before.

Mildly near sighted with minimal astigmatism. I wear glasses. Haven’t ever had eye surgery. I suspect I have a transient BVD where my right eye doesn’t always converge correctly. It’s worse when my allergies are causing sinus issues.

I have high myopia, -6.5 both eyes. My right eye feels weaker, gets tired faster, once it gets tired my right pupil becomes smaller, probably a muscle spasm. All my symptoms started after a period of stress, a lot of work and sleepless nights I developed eye floaters, dry eyes and auto-immune decease that attacks my thyroid. I got my thyroid levels under control and with long term lifestyle changes my eyes feel a bit better, but it's never going to be the same.
