The phone he wrote about (and also me) is not IPS LED
Usable Smartphones?
Be carefull. Just buy if you have any chance to return it after using it. Like I said there's no DC Dimming, many sites claim it has 1440 Hz pwm dimming, but the official sites does not mention that. Also there's a Russian video where they're testing pwm and the results are not good. Maybe I was lucky with my unit. Something simillar happened with Xiaomi 11T Pro, other amoled with low pwm and was great for my eyes.
Anyone else tried the Nord 3? Has it worked for you? Trying to find more feedback on this device online but so far can only see Rui's posts.
Hi,
Unfortunately the new Fairphone 5 uses an OLED display.
Has anyone tested it already?
Thanks und advance
Fellow PWM sufferer Nicholas Sutrich at Android Central sounds like he had a good experience so far with the Pixel 8 Pro. I believe he had issues with previous Pixels. PWM section is about halfway down the review.

Rui Thanks Rui I just got my Nord 3 and its really good zero eyestrain for me too It is my first Amoled phone without any eyestrain or headache .
ashento899 Hello, I saw that you had an A52s. I also have one currently and I am getting close to desperate. It makes me dizzy, burning eyes and pressure in the eyes, migraines. Are these similar to the symptoms you had? I was looking at oneplus nord 3 as well but it's risky because it doesn't have high flicker rate but a lot of people say there's no strain from it.
Entity On A52s I get red eyes and migraines even I use it for only 15 minutes but I didn't get it on nord 3 until now but I didn't like oxygen os because I am recently used samsung galaxy M34 for 1 month it has issue like mild headache but if you set it to 60 hz then It's manageable it's way better than A52s
Hi, has anyone tried Oppo A98 5g?

Dok123 It probably uses the same display as the oneplus nce3 lite and realme 10 pro (or thats what looks like..its almost the same phone) so it probably flickers like the other two.
But at the same tine someone on the pwm subreddit said he uses it without problems, so the best you can do is try it because there is not review at nbcheck or ixbt.
sorry bad english
ashento899 still no issues with oneplus nord 3?
Entity using nord 3 I have no issues but I don't like its other factors like oxygen os because I like samsung one ui features and not able to concentrate on reading text on it. It not feel sharp like lcd does I think only solution for me is to stick with lcd phone I will sell nord 3 soon in this weekend
I am VERY sensitive to PWM. I can usually tell it's PWM when I can't focus correctly like the screen is not clear. I don't experience immediate major consequences but over time it becomes a debilitating headache so I learn to avoid it by avoiding situations that puts me near PWM devices. This includes light fixtures etc. Right now my work environment is free of PWM, and so is my home, for the most part.
Glad to see I'm not the only one suffering from PWM.
My current phone is the iPhone 8, it's on iOS 14.5.1. This is my main phone but I'm starting to run into major issues with lack of memory and storage. The screen is very pleasing to my eyes, and an overall joy to look at in terms of the display.
My secondary phone is the iPhone XR, it's on IOS 16.2. This is my secondary phone and I used to use it to game and watch videos, but currently mainly just use it to play videos like Netflix etc. The screen/OS doesn't feel as eye pleasing to me as the iPhone 8, but it's great for viewing videos and I don't develop a headache with this device either after prolonged use.
Both these phones are good for long term use, as long the environment doesn't have other PWM devices like lights, TVs, monitors etc.
I'm in the market for a new phone currently. Being eyeing the iPhone SE 2023 (iPhone SE 3) but I heard that after iOS 16.5 it seems like temporal dithering was added so not too sure if I'd be okay with that, but also I want to wait for iPhone SE 4 to see if it will continue to use LCD or not.
My wife currently has the iPhone SE3 and she says she's willing to use a phone with PWM, but I kind of don't want her to use one with PWM even if she might be fine with it. Over time she can also tell if a light is flickering or not now. But it's just that she doesn't seem to mind it nearly as much as me.
Nord 3 caused lots of symptoms instantly! Now I have to sell it. Soooo tired of this merry go around.
Jota Just try any lcd phone you get much better experience than amoled I switched to more than 20 amoled phone recently not single one without any issues
phone I tested =nothing phone 1, oneplus nord 3, samsung a52s, a53, realme 11 pro plus, samsung m34, s20 fe, mi11i, oneplus ce3lite, samsung m52

Hi, anyone tried Moto g62 5g? What do you think about it?
I would like to know, if anyone has tried it, something about the Moto g54 5g.
Thank you!
Dok123 About the g54: someone on the telegram group tested it and got pretty bad results with an opple light master, also it did cause eye strain :/
about the g62: 2 users here tested it, one had to sell it and the another one said it was pwm free. But i dont remenber if we have official reviws (like nbcheck) for that model (nbcheck is not so that trustworthly tho)
Honestly, the only way with this kind of stuff is for any one of you to go down to the store and check it out in person and come back again on a different day to get another opinion. Numbers are one thing, but subjective feel is another.
