ryans I did figure it out mostly. It is the color temp diff btwn the room and screen that makes a difference, uniform lighting, and nothing really reflective within peripheral vision. These are things I have learned.
I have a diff problem than most here. I really don't get the headaches. I just can feel the presence of the screen in the form of little muscles giving me a fit around my eye. Especially the outer edges of my eye and where the hinge of my eyeglasses are. I'm getting there slowly, living without any issues. Just need to create a perfect environment in the room that have heavy screen use.
I used the s5, it was awesome. One of the best reading experiences. I think bc of the physical screen surface and that version of Android.
Lastly, I'm getting prk done. I wear glasses but just walking through a room with my glasses on that mixes sunlight with artificial light I get the same eye muscle issue as when using the screen. Seems my eyes are just sensitive to certain types of light and those lights are used in monitors. The edge of eye issue only happens with screens though. My monitor and s8.
Im also getting a kindle eReader. Give me time away from the s8.
