  • Reduce ledstrain using laminate pouches

Hi everyone,

Like others here, I've suffered from chronic eyestrain/LED strain for a long time. I've found that affixing laminate pouches to the monitor has helped reduce my eyestrain by 60-70%. I believe this is because the pouches diffuse and soften the light coming from the screen, which makes everything a little easier on the eyes.

Anyways, I've created a video to demonstrate the setup in the hope that it provides some relief for others in the same situation. It's not a perfect solution, but for me at least, it's helped a lot.

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing. Others on here have had some success with various screen protectors but they haven't worked for me and I have thought about trying find something just slightly more opaque. This might be a good solution.

Do you cut them so its a single layer? or keep it the way it is? (pouch) two layers

thorpee I used them as-is (two layers). They would work ok as single layer as well but would be less opaque

Cool, i think 2 layers would spread the flicker across different directions more. I'm going to try this on my car's infotainment system that has some PWM. Thanks for the tip.

Isn't that just a matte screen protector at that point? But if it works, go with it
