As title says, I'm new regarding this problem.
I've been struggling with it since beginning of this year and I'd like to hear more from other people. I'm glad I've found this.
Well…by January I've bought a new tv. My old one is a LED TV (from 2016). 4K resolution. No issues at all. The new one was an OLED (LG C3) and That's the first one that triggered me the "eye strain". The pain is on both eyes (like behind it) and it starts almost instantly after looking at the screen. My first reaction was return the tv after some weeks because I thought it could be OLED related or so.
I work as a software developer and I spend long hours looking at screens and I've never had this issue. My eyes are also checked often and I have almost 100% on both eyes (I'm 40).
Well…after returning it, I've tried a Samsung model (QLED). It was way better but still not perfect. Returned it.
Since then I already tried buying 3 new monitors (VA, OLED and IPS) and with all of them o had the issue. The last one (M32U) arrived last week and I'll return it because the issue occurs instantly.
The only difference I see between this monitors and the ones I had is the resolution: they are all 32' but the new ones have 4k panels.
Tbh I don't really know what to do. For now my old models work but in the future they might stop working and they are also outdated. It seems I cannot cope with new models. I have glasses with blue light filter but it doesn't work.
What do you think I should do?
I'm really confused ATM.
Best regards
Sorry about my English
Good luck everyone
