2 years ago i brought a Philips 276E9QDSB monitor, for the first few weeks i was happy about it, but i noticed that i had some strange visual artifact after using the monitor for a few hours, IN REAL LIFE.
This visual artifact was the most noticeable with repeating or noisy patterns(like the mesh back on computer chairs), it was a very strong artifact on these type of surfaces, but looking at other things it was very minimal/not noticeable.
After a few month, i decided to get a new monitor, cuz i got this eye issue constantly and it started happening since i got that monitor, and i felt more dizzy and sick every day using it. Every morning when i woke up, my vision was 100% perfect, no artifacts or anything like that, but it always come up after using that monitor.

First i was in denial cuz even tho the monitor is cheap, it was a lot for where i live, thats why i used it for 3 months, but i could not handle it anymore.
For the new monitor, i got a cheaper LG 24MK400H-B(TN panel), and all of my eye issues were gone in literally 1 day. I get some eyestrain from it, i would say its 1/20 of the Philips monitor, so its a million times better. Before this and the Philips monitor, i had an LG IPS from 2014(PWM, i had no issues with it even tho i was using it 50% brightness), i had a TN panel from around 2009, and before that i had CRT monitors. The eyestrain that i got from the Philips was much higher than any other monitor.

I write a support ticket to Philips, but i only got back total bs answers, like "apply the blue reduction mode", or "you probably get these issues because its a wide color gamut monitor". I think all of these are a gigantic lies. They also told me that they cant do anything, if i dont like the monitor i should send back to the store.(So they dont have to deal with it, and the store will probably repackage it and sell it some other poor consumer.) I still have that monitor, its collecting dust, even tho it was half of my salary, i feel bad selling it because i know that something is very wrong with that monitor.

I think the issue is the voltage inversion which constantly flickers the panel, or maybe it was their horribly implemented dithering algorithm(it literally flickers at like half refresh rate, you can literally see the color transition in a still image with your eyes, its sooo bad).

It makes me sad that monitor manufacturers simply can ignore issues like this. This stuff literally made me sick, and i had real life visual artifacts from this. Are they even researching this stuff? Are anything going to be done about this? Lcd technology is like 30 years old tech at least, and they still make new monitors that makes you sick???

The funniest thing is that this monitor had like 10 certification, more than my current LG monitor, it had for example: "TUV/ISO9241-307" cert, which is "Eye Comfort Certification" from TUV. It supposed to be flicker free, it has blue light reduction, and reflection reduction(which is a cheap plastic diffuser layer). When im looking at this, i just feel cheated. How is it flicker free when it literally visibly flickers because color dither? How is it flicker free when it has horrible voltage inversion artifacts??? Also the blue light reduction, i think its such a huge lie... It cost nothing, not a single penny to the monitor manufacturers to add a LUT with low blue light, and then they can advertise it as a "eye comfort" monitor...

Sorry for the long post(plus my broken English) and the rant, but i mad about this situation. I just simply cant believe that they sell products like this. I think these issues could be fixed(color dither + inversion in my speculation the main cause of this eyestrain). But they dont care.
