ryans I can't find anything but marketing speak on their site to see if this is just a rebranded Dasung or some new "E-paper" tech as they infer...but I suspect the former. It looks to me like it has the exact same bezel and button layout/markings as Dasung Paperlike Pro which is Dasung's last gen model. There are no tech specs listed to compare resolution etc.
They seem to be marketing it toward people who are light sensitive post concussion and acting like they "developed" some special technology that helps that, rather than actually selling what is just an existing E-ink monitor, something you can already get much, much cheaper. 2000 CAD to buy or 400 CAD a month to rent? Ridiculous. If it IS a Dasung rebranded, the equivalent Dasung model is half that price. They say "Patent Pending" but I can't see what they could be patenting other than their brand name perhaps.
I could however be entirely wrong and it's all some new tech and the similarities are coincidence. But if my suspicions are correct I REALLY hate this sort of "business" where people take an existing thing, mark the price up, and deceptively market it as unique. They add no value and just insert themselves for profit.
