autobot Brightness could definitely play a part, my iphone pro feels way better(not perfect) than the computer monitors but if I turn the brightness to max it feels bad. I also find myself getting an ”ughh” feeling whenever I go from a dark page to a bright one on the computer. Feel like it increases strain.

moonpie Linux is out of the window unfortunately since you cant play on the poker sites I need to play on there. Can only try that for testing(although last time I tried ubuntu wouldnt load). Tried win10 for a few hours(didnt really notice much of a difference) wasnt the best test I have to admit but at least now I know what to do if I wanna try it again.
If I just judge from those pics the gigabyte looks even better than the dell right?

autobot Hello! Thanks for reaching out. Not yet, I thought I had solved the problem when I saw that my monitor is only PWM free at the highest brightness. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/asus/proart-display-pa278cv I thought that was why I felt better at the start and then worse later on, thought I had turned down brightness. :edit Actually I see now its not the exact same monitor reviewed here as the one I have. I have cgv not cv. However turning the brightness to max didnt help so I bought HP omen 27q to test, that didnt feel good either.
Currently thinking of buying new hardware to test, just not sure exactly what to buy. Thinking intel arc for graphics but not sure if I should try replacing something else too like motherboard. Its been kinda overwhelming reading about all the things that could cause problems.
Or is there any way to check which gpu its using at the moment to make sure its iGPU?

Trying to make sure I’m not using dGPU. Moved the monitor cable to the right slot but just to be sure should I do something inside of the computer? Remove the cable maybe? To completely remove the dGPU from inside I’d need to get a screwdriver. Would moving/removing the cable be enough?
Thank you @WhisperingWind very helpful, appreciate it. I will try this tomorrow(need to play poker today, free from tomorrow): ”Remove the drivers or install the Microsoft Basic Adapter Driver in Windows for UHD 770.” I have 1 week from tomorrow to tell them if I wanna return the monitor, then 2 weeks from then to actually do it.

moonpie Yeah I had a lot of issues with freezing/computer crashing when I bought a new computer around 1 year ago. So after a few months I just decided to upgrade to something overkill and see if that would fix it, thats why.
Is there any way I can chat with 1 of you guys outside of here to try fix it? Maybe on discord? Literally willing to pay. ColorControl 10.1.0.0 For example in here, I have no clue what to do. Also the "ditherig" program didnt wanna open, said something about some dll not loading. Never mind, got the ditherig to work.
I could also send slow-mo videos taken with my phone and you could check how my screen looks, maybe you'd be able to see if there's something wrong with it.
I guess I’ll try one of the other steps you mentioned instead @WhisperingWind

Do I pick ”try or install unbuntu” or ”ubuntu(safe graphics)” in the menu? Picked the first option first time, it just loaded for a long time then my screen turned black. Edit: Tried the other one, doesnt load there either. Isnt there some monitors/cpu/gpus that are confirmed safe by multiple ppl that I can just buy?

moonpie Okay will do, actually tried it last night but my computer froze. Should be fine now though. Just not sure, that other guy said if I use the latest version of ubuntu it will use the gpu whereas you're telling me to use the latest version, its a bit confusing. I'll try the latest version to see how that feels.

WhisperingWind Tried this now, however I cant even find the first step. This is how it looks on mine: AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition There's no "Display" option there. Only Games, Graphics, Advisors. Tried re-installing it. Tried searching "Dispaly" in the searchbar but there's nothing there.
EDIT: Found it now. Had to go to the gear in the right corner.
Amd adrenalin edition 24.3.1 wont show options for... - AMD Community Damn I feel dumb now, I just looked at the picture in the first guide, now I see it says to do the same in the guide
So I guess I change the "Color depth 10 bpc" to 8 instead right? AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition

WhisperingWind Okay thanks. Is it possible to change it? If so how? Found this Gyazo in AMD software. In case you dont wanna open the link. "10-bit pixel format disabled"

WhisperingWind Ohh okay, very interesting. Because currently its on 10-bit. Will try to figure out how to change it to 8-bit.
Gyazo Link to the settings in advanced display. Sorry if links are not allowed. It says Bit depth 10-bit. So I guess that means I have dithering.
moonpie Okay thanks. Btw I bought this monitor like 5 days ago. First 2 days the difference was crazy, felt so much better, headache so much better etc. Then after that started feeling worse again. It coincides with my computer starting to freeze randomly 4 or 5 times now which never happens usually. I'm hopeful something's up with the graphics or the computer that's causing the increase in symptoms again. Does that sound reasonable?
Is it possible to send a video here somehow btw? Took a slow-mo video of my screen. Looks like its flickering. Just wanted to confirm
